Welcome
to Aerosolutions 2009
The
CEB (Congrès
et Expositions de Bordeaux) and the BCI
(Business Convention International) co-organize
AEROSOLUTIONS, a major International Business
Convention for the ASD sector (Aeronautics,
Space and Defense) on the 1st and 2nd of
December 2009 at the Bordeaux Congress
Center.
Supported
by the European Union and the local authorities
(such as the Regional Council of Aquitaine,
the General Council of the Gironde and
the Urban Community of Bordeaux) this
high-level business convention helps
indentify business and technology opportunities
for prime manufacturers, OEM's and ASD
suppliers and optimizes professional
encounters.
L’AQUITAINE,
At the Heart of ASD
Aquitaine
is the cradle of large industrial groups
such as EADS, THALES or DASSAULT plus
around 600 SMEs/SMIs related to ASD activities,
the region counts 38.500 jobs for a 3.8
billion euro turnover in this sector.
The Midi-Pyrénées
and Aquitaine form AEROSPACE VALLEY which
ranks it at 1st place for European Aeronautics,
Space and Defense and constitutes the 1st
exportation pole of France.
AN EVER-GROWING International Event
To date, Over 70 foreign companies have
already confirmed their participation in
AEROSOLUTIONS. Five months before the event,
the participation confirmations recorded
have already exceeded the figures from
2007. There seems to be a tendency towards
strong European mobilization for example
a German delegation of 10 companies and
a British representation of 15 to 20 companies.
The return of three Spanish clusters (including
Madrid and Aragon) is to be noted for this
5th edition. And major export shall be
well represented, amongst others, by the
presence of Russia and Canada.
THE 2009 EDITION OPENS UP TO SPATIAL AND
DEFENSE SECTORS
This enlargement does not only allow an
important platform for representing regional
aeronautic skills but it also opens up
to a new level of development by valuing
Spatial and Defense Sectors where technical
investments are at an increase. AEROSOLUTIONS
adapts to the current needs of market diversification
with all the more validity owing to the
fact that in Aquitaine, 45 % of the aeronautical
and spatial orders are made in establishments
that are very dependent of the military
sector (investigation source: NATIONAL
INSTITUTE FOR STATISTICS AND ECONOMIC STUDIES
2008)
The branching out to the Defense sector
(air, naval and land) is an opportunity
to recruit prime manufacturers.
